Watford face battle to keep Richarlison

Watford are facing a battle on their hands to keep hold of Richarlison.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Hornets in the summer from Fluminese in a deal worth over £11million, has been hugely impressive for Marco Silva’s side.

However, since moving to England – I understand Richarlison has been snapped up by a world renowned agent, and a host of clubs have been alerted to the fact.

Football INDEX Watch – Richarlison – currently at £2.28 and is now on the top-40, making bid strides

Everton are keen, but they are not alone in showing an interest in the young forward.

Speaking about his young star, Silva said: “For us as a club it is important to keep our best players.

“It’s normal. We know our players are doing well and some are improving a lot. It’s normal other clubs pay attention to them.

“After it’s that it’s the club’s decision. The owner will decide what is best.”

Bookmakers believe that RIcharlison is likely to leave in January and he is rated at 3/4 by Ladbrokes – which is just short of 60% probability that he will leave.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Richarlison has been the bees knees for the Hornets this season, but with four top sides swarming around the Brazilian star, the buzz could soon go out on Watford’s campaign.”
