An usual occurrence on the golfing calendar this week with the PGA Tour having a down weekend ahead of the Tour Championship finale.
That means the KLM Open is the only top-line event and it has attracted a decent looking field in what is its 99th playing.
The Dutch course at Gorinchem hosts for a third consecutive year.

FIELD: D A lot of the world’s big names have their mind on the Tour Championship and Ryder Cup, but that said the likes of Lee Westwood, Ryan Fox, Hatong Li, Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Andy Sullivan mean that there is a decent looking field on show.
QUOTES: Defending champion Romain Wattel hopes to make his first defence of a European Tour title this week.
“I am feeling great and it is nice to be back,” Wattel said. “It’s been a really quick 12 months and I feel it was like yesterday when it happened. I am really happy to be back here.
“It was a very big relief and it felt great to finally win. Everyone was asking me about my first win and to finally achieve that was a great moment for me. You only have one first win in your career and I am very happy that it came in Holland.”

Our resident golf expert is Cliff Jackson. Cliff is a leading youth coach and PGA professional at the famed Seaton Carew Links – one of the oldest courses in the world.
A strange week with no PGA event, but this is a chance for the European Tour to stand out. I do wonder if Lee Westwood could do something, but I think Haotong Li would get my vote.
We caught up with Betfair’s Joe Dyer to get their views on this week’s action
With the PGA Tour taking a week out before the FedEx Cup finale there’s just one event on the main golf tours for punters to consider.
The KLM Open is a decent affair, however, with a stronger than average field lining up at The Dutch, a Colin Montgomerie-designed layout in the north Netherlands.
The Betfair Sportsbook favourite this week is Eddie Pepperell, third last year but a 16/1 shot to lead them home this time, with seven places paid.
In behind Pepperell is another Englishman, Lee Westwood, who can be backed at 18/1 on a course where he also finished third last time out.
Ryan Fox was in terrific form during the summer and is a lover of linksy layouts. The Kiwi is 22/1 for the win, with Chris Wood and Kiradech Aphibarnrat a few ticks bigger at 25/1.
After that you can get 28/1 on Michael Lorenzo-Vera and Andy Sullivan while 33/1 is available on six players including Ross Fisher, Haotong Li and Matthew Southgate.
