ALFRED DUNHILL LINKS
OVERVIEW: The Dunhill Links is one of the stand-out tournaments on the European Tour. Also one of the richest events on offer, it sees celebrities team-up with professionals in a stand-alone pro-am event, which is played alongside the main event. It is already unique in the fact it is played over three courses, with the main course being St Andrews, along with Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.
Due to the celebrity and fun nature of the event, it always boats a very strong field and this year is no different with Rory McIlroy in town and firm favourite.

SAFEWAY OPEN
OVERVIEW: Founded in 2007 the Safeway Open is emerging as a more and more popular event and is able to attract some huge names, despite competing with the Dunhill Links.
Kevin Tway is the defending champion, but he has his work cut out with the likes of Justin Thomas, Adam Scott and Francesco Molinari teeing it up in California.
Our resident golf expert is Cliff Jackson. Cliff is a leading youth coach and PGA professional at the famed Seaton Carew Links – one of the oldest courses in the world.
So, we came very close last week – both Viktor Hovland and Paul Casey gave us a great run for our money.
Two very impressive events this week, no doubt about it but for me the Dunhill Links is one of the best tournaments on the European Tour.
And in Scotland, I am staying with the Brits in the shape of Tommy Fleetwood and Ty Hatton – who has won this twice before.
In California, I like the look of Colin Morikawa to go well and I do wonder if Francesco Molinari might show up well – so I would go with him too.
