See below as we run through the main golf tournaments this week, including facts, odds and picks from our own golfing professional Cliff Jackson with odds from 32Red.
HOUSTON OPEN
OVERVIEW: The Houston Open takes place in it’s new October time slot on the tour, having previously being played the week before The Masters. This is also the final time at the Golf Club of Houston before it moves back to the recently renovated Memorial Park Golf Club.
Ian Poulter is the defending champion, but he won’t be looking for successive wins as he is playing in the Italian Open. There is an excellent field on show in Texas, with Swedish ace Henrik Stenson going in as clear favourite.

ITALIAN OPEN
OVERVIEW: The Italian Open is one of Rolex Series events making it one of the top rated tournaments on the calendar, and a 2017 move to October has not hindered it at all.
The 2019 event boasts an outstanding field with some of Europe’s finest in attendance with the likes of Justin Rose and Paul Casey, along with home hero Francesco Molinari. Thorbjorn Olesen is not back to defend his crown.

Well I am certainly coming into this week in confident mood having landing the 1/2 in the Open de Espana last week and fourth place in America, so lets look to this week with two interesting Opens.
The Italian Open looks a really good field and I have to go with Francesco Molinari, and also Ian Poulter who won’t have made the trip not to take it seriously and he is also missing his defence of the Houston Open for good reason.
As for the Houston Open, I can see an outsider here and I like Luke Lists to have a good go, and also I think at 100/1 Lucas Bjerregaard has a good chance.
Cliff’s Picks…
Francesco Molinari at 16/1 with 32Red for the Italian Open
Ian Poulter at 33/1 with 32Red for the Italian Children Open
Luke List at 50/1 with 32Red for the Houston Open
Lucas Bjerregaard at 100/1 with 32Red for the Houston Open
