Does new deal mean more Wenger success? Bookies don’t think so

With Arsene Wenger agreeing a new deal at Arsenal, the Bookmakers are inviting punters in to back him for more success and the odds are appealing.

Wenger has been in charge since 1996, but this season saw them finish outside the top-four for the first time in his tenure.

However, with Wenger sealing a famous FA Cup success over Chelsea at the weekend – that has affirmed his belief that he can turn them into title challengers again and with that he has agreed a two-year deal with owner Stan Kroenke.

The Arsenal fan base continue to be divided – but the Bookmakers certainly don’t see too much success for Wenger in the future.

Indeed Ladbrokes are offering 7/1 on Arsenal to win another title under Wenger.

As for Wenger’s future in North London beyond this summer, it’s 4/1 for him to leave his current post midway through next campaign.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The waiting game looks to finally be over for Arsenal fans and it’s the ‘Wenger In’ brigade who’ll be cheering this summer. But as far as we’re concerned, it could be some time before Gooners are celebrating more cup glory and title triumphs.”
