West Ham open to Hernandez offers

Javier Hernandez has been told they he can leave the club this month, if they receive suitable a offer.

The Mexican star was a big summer signing for The Hammers as they paid out £16million for the 29-year-old, who signed a three-year deal when arriving from Bayer Leverkusen.

Hernandez has bagged four goals in 17 league games for The Hammers and although he has settled well, Hammers boss David Moyes does not see him as part of his long-term plans.

I understand West Ham’s hierarchy have told Hernandez that he can leave, if the right offer comes in for him. Sources close to Hernandez have confirmed that whilst the player is happy at West Ham – he does not like the idea of spending too much time on the bench, so would accept a move away from the club and accepts that means a likely move abroad.

There is already interest from America, the Middle East and his homeland, as his salary in England means a move within Europe is unlikely.

Bookmakers believe that Hernandez could be heading to Major League Soccer with the new side Los Angeles FC.

“Los Angeles FC have been looking for a marquee signing since joining the MLS and Hernandez is likely to bit that bill therefore they are leading the chase according to the betting to capture the West Ham striker this month,” said Coral’s John Hill.
