Will Neymar get his move? As Barca make offer

Neymar is pushing hard to leave Paris Saint Germain this summer, with former club Barcelona making an opening move.

Barca, having already spent heavily this summer with the headline arrivals being Frenkie De Jong and Antoine Griezmann – meaning they are struggling to meet Paris Saint Germain’s demands.

PSG want more than the £200million they paid Barca for him in 2017.

Barca are reportedly keen on offering players in exchange to possibly do a deal, and have suggested to PSG they can have £90million cash plus a couple of players with Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Malcolm, Nelson Semedo, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti all offered.

But PSG seem unlikely to accept such an offer as they want cash.

Of the other clubs who could finance a move, Neymar would seemingly be willing to join Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich or even Manchester United – but again whether any deal could happen is doubtful.

Neymar told PSG earlier this summer that he wanted out, a fact confirmed by their coach Thomas Tuchel.

The player’s unhappiness – which is believed to stem from the fact he is now seen as second in the pecking order to Kylian Mbappe – led to him reporting late for pre-season, which is when Tuchel admitted he knew of his desire to quit.

“Did I know he wanted to leave? Yes, I found out before the Copa America but it is something between the club and Ney.”

So at is stands, Neymar looks to have a big task on his hands to try and force a move.

And the Bookmakers don’t see him leaving as it is odds-on at 8/11 with Paddy Power that he remains with PSG, with Barcelona favourites to land him should the move happen at 6/5.
