Jack Wilshere has completed his move to West Ham United, and he is already being backed to be a success.
The 26-year-old has signed for West Ham after leaving Arsenal last month, when his contract expired.
The England international, who was desperately disappointed not to make Gareth Southgate’s squad, rejected a big contract from Turkish giants Fenerbahce to seal a move to the London Stadium.
“It feels special. Many people know that I’ve had a special bond with this club growing up,” he said.
“I’ve got good memories of my childhood supporting West Ham, watching them at Upton Park.”
Now Bookmakers believe the move to West Ham will be good form and he is being backed to return to the Three Lions fold sooner rather than later.
Betway are as confident as 8/11 that Wilshere is given an England recall before Euro 2020.
Betway’s Alan Alger said: “Jack Wilshere looks another exciting recruit for West Ham who are clearly prepared to back new manager Manuel Pellegrini ahead of the new season.
“Wilshere will be hoping to impress Gareth Southgate and the England hierarchy as he seeks a recall to the national squad for the first time since Euro 2016 and he’s 8/11 to get the call-up before Euro 2020.
“He’s struggled to find net in recent years, having battled a number of niggling injuries, but now fully fit, we expect him to surpass those numbers and it’s 8/11 for him to score over 1.5 goals in the 2018/19 season.”
