Wolverhampton Wolves have seen their odds on winning the Championship cut after they confirmed the signing of Portuguese international midfielder Ruben Neves.
The 20-year-old has agreed a five-year deal at Molineux, after they agreed a club record deal of just under £16million with Porto after his agent Jorge Mendes masterminded the move.
The deal for Neves represents a huge coup for Wolves, given he was being linked with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea just 12-months ago but now he has agreed to link-up with his former Porto boss Nuno – who took charge earlier in the summer.

Neves, who has two full caps for Portugal, has now sealed an unlikely move to The Championship and Bookmakers have been forced to react.
bet365 report a host of bets on Wolves and have cut them from 14s to 10/1.
bet365’s Steve Freeth: “Many thought that John Terry to Aston Villa wouldn’t be topped in the surprise stakes, but Wolves signing Ruben Neves trumps that easily.
“It looks a tricky Championship to call, but Wolves wagers have been flooding in since the reports that Neves would be signing, over 500 outright bets alone, and this looks likely to continue now he’s put pen to paper.”
