Arsenal are continuing talks to land Alexandre Lacazette and Thomas Lemar.

The Gunners hierarchy have been locked in talks with both Lyon and Monaco for a number of weeks, but as yet they have not been able to strike a deal.

Lacazette remains their number one striking target but Lyon will not budge on their valuation of near £50million, and Monaco feel the same about their midfielder Lemar – who they want £30million for.

Arsenal sources are now hopeful they can strike deals for the pair, and Bookmakers believe they that a double deal is likely.

Ladbrokes rate the deal at 15/10 for both players to be at The Emirates next season with Lemar at 11/10 and Lacazette odds-on at 2/5.

Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin said: “Good news is on the horizon for Gooners, with Lacazette looking a nailed-on signing while Lemar could well be joining him at the Emirates.”

Should both Lacazette and Lemar arrive that will cast further over the futures of a number of members of the current Arsenal squad.

TheGamblingTimes.com revealed earlier this month that Arsenal would be open to the prospect of Giroud leaving, if and when, they brought in Lacazette.

Another whose Arsenal future is in major doubt is Theo Walcott – I understand Liverpool and Everton both have an active interest in the England man, if he becomes available.

West Ham are keen – but would find it hard to take both Giroud and his wage packets on.

Ladbrokes list West Ham as 7/4 favourites to land Walcott – with Liverpool and Everton at 9/2 and 5/1 respectively. West Ham also remain favourites for Giroud at 11/4.
