Everton to seal Theo Walcott deal

Theo Walcott is set to end aver a decade at Arsenal after agreeing to move to Everton.

His former club Southampton and West Ham United were both keen to land Walcott, but both wanted loan deals – whilst Everton have moved to seal a permanent deal.

Walcott has now decided to make the move North and the Toffees have agreed a deal of around £20million with Arsenal.

We revealed back in September that Arsenal were ready to sell Walcott if he did not retain a first-team place – and that is what has happened.

Sources close to Walcott have told me that the player was impressed with Everton boss Sam Allardyce and he is hoping the move can propel him back into England contention ahead of the World Cup finals.

Bookmakers have now closed their markets on Walcott – who was odds-on to make the move to Everton at the start of this week.
